Mayme Hampton Daniel

Mayme Hampton Daniel, age 78, of Route 3, Rutledge, TN passed away peacefully at 8:30 p.m. Sunday evening, February 9, 2003 at the Life Care Center in Jefferson City following an extended illness. She was a lifelong member of Oakland Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Ella Mae Laughner Hampton; brothers, Estle Hampton; sisters, Helen Curl, Erma Lee Satterfield, and Grace Gray; and an infant son, Jerry Allen Daniel. She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Rayford Daniel of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Carson Daniel of Rutledge and Dennis "Butch" and Bobbie Daniel of Rutledge; grandson, Brian Daniel of Jefferson City; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Daniel of Rutledge, Nancy Frankenburg of Bean Station, and Bonnie Mills of Rutledge; brother-in-law, Jimmy Daniel of Jefferson City; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003 from the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Jefferson City with Rev. Stacey Lawson and Dr. Robert McCray officiating. Family and friends will gather at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003 at the funeral home to proceed to Sunrise Cemetery in Grainger County for a 1:00 p.m. graveside interment service.
