Maxine McSpadden Tompkins

MAXINE MCSPADDEN TOMPKINS, age 72 of Dandridge, TN passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Eli and Ersie Franklin McSpadden. Preceded in death by her husband, James (Gene) Tompkins. Former employee of Tennessee Handbags and attended Grant's Chapel United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Holt of Oneida, TN; daughter and son in law, Sherry and Chuck Patterson of Strawberry Plains; grandchildren, Melinda and husband, Mat Brooks, Jessica Holt and Chris Patterson; sister, Doris Hill; brothers, Ralph "Jack" McSpadden and Kent McSpadden. Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at the Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge with Rev. Darrell Chambers officiating. Interment graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 9, 2003 in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
