Maxine Wallen Lynch

Maxine Wallen Lynch, known by most as Granny, passed away on December 30, 2013. She was a member of Talbott Baptist Church and a former member and church pianist at Mulberry Gap Baptist Church. She was a retired Head Start teacher and seamstress. She was preceded in death by Ruey Wallen; parents, Shirley and Nell Coleman; brothers, Mark, Elmer, and Neal Coleman. She is survived by children and their spouses, Harold and Loretta Wallen of White Pine, TN, Rodger Wallen and Bunte of Newton, GA, and Wanda and Steve Couch of Talbott, TN, grandchildren, Carla Hurst, Tommy Wallen, Adam Couch, Teresa Edwards, and Samantha Mote; great-grandchildren, Leslie Renner, Rachel Beckler, Derek Hurst, Maleah Wallen, Jordan, Cailee and Cara Edwards, Elizabeth, Victoria and Raina Mote; great great grandchildren, Addi and Madily Renner, Brenden Beckler, others she loved as grandchildren, Sandy Jarnagin and her children, Samantha, Savannah, and Gage. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Talbott Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Henegar officiating. There will be a private graveside service Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Turner-Coleman Cemetery in Hancock County, TN. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Talbott Baptist Church prior to the funeral service.
