Maxie McGee Bible

MAXIE MCGEE BIBLE, age 70, of Dandridge, TN passed away suddenly Saturday, September 20, 2008 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Paul Wesley and Juanita Manis McGee and was preceded in death by her husband, John Rouse Bible. Maxie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dandridge. Maxie was a well respected teacher and educator in the Jefferson County School System, where she was a teacher for 29 years. Since retirement, she had been enjoying her love of gardening. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Martie Pratt of Franklin, Tennessee and Stacie and Greg Brown of Superior, Colorado; grandchildren, John Thomas and Sarah Pratt, and Hannah and Grace Brown. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, September 24, 2008 at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge with Dr. Robert McCray officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside interment service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial donations me made to the American Heart Association or the Jefferson County Humane Society, 310 Landfill Road, Dandridge, TN 37725.
