MAX MARK MOORE, born December 19, 1922 died on May 3, 2012. Judge Moore was a life long resident of Jefferson County, Tennessee and member of the First United Methodist Church in White Pine, Tennessee. He earned a teaching certificate from Carson-Newman College and was a graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Law and was admitted to the bar on March 31, 1951. Subsequently, he was employed in the Jefferson County Education department, insurance adjuster for State Farm Automobile Insurance Company, cashier of the Citizens Bank of White Pine. In 1965, he co-founded the Moore Insurance Agency of White Pine, Tennessee with his wife, the late Hazel R. Moore. In 1965, he opened a law office in White Pine until 1982. He was elected General Sessions Judge with Juvenile and Probate Jurisdiction for Jefferson County, Tennessee, where he served for 16 years. In 1943 he served his country in Corps of Engineers, US Army in the European Theater of Operation for 28 months until November 1945. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Roberts Moore; father and mother, George S. Moore and Gussie Smith Moore. Survived by daughter, Linda Graziano and husband, Joseph; daughter, Teresa Wolf and husband, Warren; grandsons, Markus A. Camfield and wife Barbara, Joseph Graziano; granddaughters, Mary Catherine Graziano and Robin Wolf; great-grandchildren, Megan, Emily and Jacob; brother, Rev. Don S. Moore; two nieces and a nephew, Donna Jo, Stacy Jane and Samuel Russell. There will be a memorial service held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church of White Pine with Rev. Mark B. McFadden, Alan Palmieri and Dr. Don Mitchell officiating. After the service, the family will receive friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church of White Pine Building Fund, PO Box 146, White Pine, TN 37890.
