MAUDE ARWOOD, born on the Fourth of July, passed away at UT Medical Center on Wednesday, June 6, 2012. She was the oldest living member of Beth-Carr United Methodist Church. She was the very first secretary of the Lowland Credit Union and was there until her retirement. Preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Arwood; brothers, J. C., Charles and Bunt Arwood. Survivors include her daughter, Loretta (Paul) Allen; granddaughters, Karen (Jack) Norton and Cindy (Tony) Farmer; grandson, Doug (Cindy) Allen; great-grandchildren, Kyle Jordan and Justin; brothers, Ruble "Tip" Arwood and Clayton "Codger" Arwood; sisters, Dorothy Brown and Gladys Cleek; special caregiver, Judy Norton; several nieces, nephews and other family members. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2012 at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine with Rev. Larry Frazier and Rev. Darrell Chambers officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside interment service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012 in Beth Carr Cemetery.
