Mattie Lee Woods

MATTIE LEE WOODS, age 95 of Dandridge, TN departed this life to join the Lord on october 8, 2003. She was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by her husband, Frank Woods; granddaughter, Cathy Woods; parents, G. H. and Laura Riley; brothers, Taylor Riley and Trevea Riley; sisters, Josie Corbett, Nannie Brooks, Nina Bearman, Jannie Bettis and Rozella Rimmer. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, James C. and Jane Woods; daughter and son in law, Jo Carolyn and Ray Poe; grandchildren, Gail Woods, Randy and wife, Cindy Poe, and Michael Poe; great grandchildren, Denise and Jennifer Poe; sister, Mary Acaley of Illinois, and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to friends and staff of the Jefferson County Nursing Home and Jefferson Memorial Hospital, and to a very special doctor, Dr. John Zirkle, for all their love and care. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003 at the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Dandridge with Dr. Sonny Strange and Dr. Robert McCray officiating. Interment graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, oct. 10 at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Thursday prior to the service.
