She was a life long resident of Jefferson City and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Ware; parents, Jim and Georgia Miles; sisters, Winifred Lowery and Ruth Walker; brothers, Joe, Cecil, Hake and Bruce Miles. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Wayne Jones, Carolyn and Clifford Hodge; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Shelby Ware, Tom and Dot Ware; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; special niece, Ruby Purkey; as well as several other nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Ann Tutlo and Julia Wilson of Adventa Hospice for their loving care. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Dr. Sonny Strange and Reverend Mike Slage conducting the service. Graveside interment services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 16, 2004 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
