Mary Celeste Reneau

MARY CELESTE McMAHAN RENEAU, age 85 of Dandridge, TN went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 12, 2017. She was a member of the Dandridge First United Methodist Church and was longtime employee of American Accessories Inc. of Dandridge. Celeste was a descendant of the First Families of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, W.R. “Bill” McMahan, Sr and Maude Ray Swann McMahan; brother, Eugene “Stew” McMahan and is survived by her children, Penny (Jeremy) Sherrod, Charlene Roach and Marianne Reese; grandchildren, Luke Troutman, Emily (Tim) Patterson, Marcie (Jason) Haynes and Daniel Reese; great-grandchildren, Cade and Aiden Troutman, Adalyn Patterson, Dylan Powell; brother, William “Bill” Jr. (Bobbie) McMahan; sister, Kay (Alvin) Thomas; several nieces and nephews and cousins. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Rodgers Cottage at the Jefferson Co. Nursing Home for the wonderful care they provided and also to the nurses and staff of Smoky Mountain Hospice. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2017, 5:00pm at the Dandridge First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ron Wine officiating. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
