Mary Ruth Strange Ray

Mary Ruth Strange Ray, age 95 of White Pine, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Signature Healthcare of Rogersville, TN. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of White Pine. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Myrtle Strange; husband, Pete Ray; grandson, Freddie Ray; siblings, Jesse, Jack, Joe, Mildred, Doris. She is survived by her children, Carroll Ray (Judy) of Whitesburg, Peggy Trent or Rogersville, Susie Morris of Morristown; grandchildren, Angie, Laurie, Kristie, Sammy, Dusty; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sisters, Bobbie Strange, Gladys Edison. The body will lie in state from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Farrar Funeral Home, White Pine. A graveside interment service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in White Pine Cemetery with Rev. Sammy Trent and Elder Dusty Trent officiating.
