MARY BARRETT MOORE, "A city of pure gold and clear as glass, walls made of jasper, gates made from pearls, a place with no darkness and always of a pure, white light. A river of water of life, a tree of life whose leaves heal every illness, and never a need for a lamp or a sun". This is what Mary Rae Barrett Moore has been seeing since the morning of October 15, 2008. "Mammaw Mary," as she was called by Ella Jane, Asha, Josiah Carter, Emily, Sarah and FaithAnn Hutsell, and Matthew Moore, was survived by her daughter, Libby Moore; granddaughter, Breanna Moore; brother, Jack (Edith) Barrett; brother-in-law, Curt (Mildred) Moore; brother-in-law, Turney Eslinger; special extended family, Paulette Worth, Jesse and Amy Carter, Justin Carter, Zac and Ashley Carter; and several nieces and nephews. She was a retired private duty sitter when she died at the age of 75. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Moore, Jr.; parents, Frank and Jessie Barrett; and numerous brothers and sisters.
