Mary Lynn Roberts Pilkington

MARY LYNN ROBERTS PILKINGTON, age 61, of Jefferson City, TN passed away Monday, October 12, 2015. She was born April 28, 1954 in Harlan, Kentucky. Mary worked as a nurse and nurse practitioner in Knoxville and Jefferson City, and served for a number of years as the clinic nurse at Carson Newman University. Mary loved spending time out of doors and spending time with her friends, her dogs and horses. She was excellent at croquet. Mary was a friend to many, a loving mother and her husband’s best friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wade and Eva Roberts of Knoxville. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Leonard Pilkington; her sons, Tyler Pilkington and Daniel Pilkington; her brother, Wade Roberts; and sister, Kathy Roberts Darden. Mary requested cremation. A memorial service for the family and close friends will be held at Jefferson City Christian Church, 1439 Hicks Road, Jefferson City, TN on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at 3:00 p.m., followed by receiving of friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Young Life Lakeway, PO Box 40, Jefferson City, TN 37760.
