Mary Margaret Long Quarles

MARY MRGARET LONG QUARLES, age 80, of Jefferson City, TN passed away at 9:00 a.m. Sunday, April 6, 2008 at her residence following an extended illness. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jefferson City and the Morristown Chapter of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was retired from Bellsouth with 25 years of service. Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, J. C. Quarles, Jr.; son, James Quarles; parents, Omer and Grace Long; several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Richard Quarles of Jefferson City; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2008 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Dr. Gene Wilder and Reverend Jim Dampier officiating. Interment to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thesday afternoon from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Cure PSP, Executive Plaza III, Suite 906, 11350 McCormick Road, Hunt Valley, MD 21031.
