MARY DIAL LEWIS, age 69, of Wa-Ni Village,Rutledge, TN passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, June 28, 2008, surrounded by her family. On this day, we all gained a guardian angel to watch over us. Dial had one of the most engaging smiles and there was no one a stranger to her. All who knew her considered her a dear friend. She leaves behind a family and friends, both young and old, who will dearly miss the welcoming hug, perceptive conversations, and generous nature that Dial possessed in abundance. Never one to tell a lie or hurt a fly, Dial was concerned for the well being of everyone she knew, and cared deeply for the plight of stray animals. She was a supportive wife to her husband of 46 years, a loving mother to her children, and absolutely relished being Nana to her grandchildren. She attended Shiloh Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Martin Curran Bridges and Sarah "Sadie" Bridges. She is survived by her husband, Russ; son, Russ, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Scott Persinger of Oxford, OH; grandchildren, Danielle, Cody and Curran; and all those in Wa-Ni Village who were like family to her. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Darrell Hensley and Reverend Mia Parham-Newman officiating.
