Preceding her in death was her father, Mel McGowan. She is survived by her mother, Pansey Jane McGowan; son, Lester King; daughter and son in law, Tammy and Dana Anderson; granddaughters, Amy Pettiford and husband, Craig, and Jessica King; grandson, Nick King; great granddaughter, Avolon Pettiford; sisters, Billie Miller, Penny Johnson and Princess Hair; brother, Rick McGowan; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2004 at the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Allen Clifton officiating.
