Mary (Betty) Elizabeth Howell

MARY (BETTY) ELIZABETH HOWELL, age 67, of Sevierville, TN and formerly of Eden, NC passed away on Friday, March 20, 2009 at her residence. She was of the Baptist faith. She is preceded id death by her daughter, Glenda Howell; daughters, Leonard and Nellie Hughes; brothers, Bobby and Maynard Hughes. Survivors include daughter, Debbie (Dean) Townsend of Sevierville; sons, Leon (Mitsie) Hughes of Sevierville, Early Howell of Kodak, Jeffery Howell of Jefferson City, Daniel (Wendi) Howell of Sevierville; grandson that Betty raised, Scottie Howell of Sevierville; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friend who she loved like a sister, Frances (Vernon) Scott of Eden, NC. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2009 at the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Jefferson City with Rev. Harold D. Townsend, Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
