CAPPS, age 76, of Jefferson City, TN, formerly of Opelika, Alabama, went to meet her Lord on Friday, December 17, 2004. She was an active member of Mill Springs Baptist Church and was also actively involved with the Jefferson City Senior Center and directed their rhythm band, the Humdingers. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Ruth Johnston; her husband, Dallas Gene Capps; and her daughter, Wanda Gene Riddle. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Colbert; and sons, Tolleigh and Timothy Capps; grandchildren, Tammy Hackney, Traci Earl, Tonya Grigsby, Tina Brooks, Troy, Terry, Titus Roberts, Karen, Kevin and Kyle Capps, Brandi and Khira Capps; and eleven great grandchildren; sister, Ann Hartley; brother, Dewey Johnston; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 20, 2004 at Mill Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Rusty Webster officiating. Graveside interment services will follow in Mill Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
