Mary Ellen Burns

MARY ELLEN BURNS, age 93, of New Market, TN passed away Friday, February 3, 2006 at Morristown Hamblen Hospital following an extended illness. She was a member of the First Church of God in Morristown. Preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Vernon Burns. Survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Charles Underwood of Venice, Florida; Mary Ellen and Thomas Denton of New Market, TN, and Delores and Noel Garrett of Gambrills, Maryland; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, brook Silver of Burnsville, NC; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2006 from Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Willis Bowers officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. The body will be transported to Ewing Funeral Home, 140 East Venice Ave., Venice Florida 34285-1924, for graveside interment services.
