Mary Clapp Bruce

MARY CLAPP BRUCE, age 91, of Jefferson City, TN passed away peacefully on May 25, 2018. She was a long time active member of First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City. She loved gardening and volunteered at Jefferson City Housing Authority for 30 years. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Bruce; two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her children, Patricia Wayne Bruce Denton, Gordon Jackson Bruce (Andra), Glenda Jill Bruce; grandchildren, Randall Bruce Denton (Kim), William Stewart Denton III (Robin), Case Everett Denton (Crystal), Christopher Glenn Bruce, Stephen Hayes Bruce (Meredith), Jessica Dawn Southern (Joseph), Polly Jessica Holt; great-grandchildren, Parker Denton, Lillie Denton, Conley Denton, C. J. Denton, Jaycee Jo Southern; special friend, Claire Brihn. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 27, 2018 at First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City with Rev. Lloyd Jones officiating. Graveside interment service will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
