Mary Ann Sherfield Greene

MARY ANN SHERFIELD GREENE was born September 15, 1957 to Bo Sherfield and Anna Mae Evans in Dandridge, TN. She was the second of four children. Mary Ann was preceded in death by both parents; niece, Courtney Ray; and grandparents, John and Thera G. Evans. She received her education in the Jefferson County School System and attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Dandridge. Mary Ann was employed at Bayliner Boat Company (Specialty Defense) and Berkline Furniture Company for a number of years. She also worked for the Manning Family and Dr. Mark and Carolyn Grenkoski. She met and married Robert Greene on March 26, 2000. Mary Ann had two daughters. She loved her dogs, Max and Chemo, gardening, yard sales and going to the beach. She was a seamstress and she taught a sewing class at Girl’s Inc. in Morristown, TN for over five years. She departed this life Thursday, July 21, 2016. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Robert; daughters, Theria and Taliyah Bowen; brothers, Nathaniel Sherfield, Maurice Dale (Sylvia) Sherfield and Dana (Misty) Sherfield; one sister, Theola (Dale) Brown; nephews, John William Sherfield (Rachel), Matthew Maurice Sherfield, Daniel Hollifield, Charles Swaggerty and Anthony Hollifield; nieces, Martia Kyle and Angie Ray; special cousins, Penny and Danny Ray; devoted friend, Libby Cotner; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Nathaniel Wilson, Rev. Steve Simpson and Rev. Carlton Cavcs officiating.
