She was born in Jacksonville, Florida on December 16, 1925, and was a Christian of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Marvin Hendrix; mother, Annie Martha Skates Hendrix; husband, Edgar Arthur LeVert; daughter, Anne Eddine LeVert Avent; and sister, Minnie Lou Hendrix Brandon. Survived by son-in-law, Julian G. Avent of Jefferson City; daughter-in-law, Marianne Avent of Jefferson City, TN and her grandson, Julian E. Avent of Fayetteville, NC. Graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2006 at Riverside Memorial Park with Reverend David Burke officiating. The family will visit with friends immediately following the graveside services. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to New Market Baptist Church Building Fund, New Market, TN.
