MARTHA BAILEY WHILLOCK, age 78, of New Market, TN went to meet her Savior on Saturday, October 20, 2018 after surgical complications. She was a devout Christian and of the Baptist faith. She was a 1958 graduate of Jefferson High School. She was employed by Magnavox (Phillips) from 1959 through 1970. She was also a substitute teacher in the Jefferson County School System. She was a devoted mother, wife, sister and grandmother. Family was her main focus, and nothing stood in the way of their happiness. She was preceded in death by her mother, Trula Lowery Bailey and father, Charlie Bailey. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 59 years, Curtis Whillock; daughter; Sandra (Mark) Day; son, Danny (Tami) Whillock;, grandchildren, Hannah Day, Jacob (Bailey) Day, Anna Day, Nathan Whillock, Nicholas Whillock, Daisy Whillock, and Tyler Barnett; devoted sister, Mary (Bill) Duignan; several nieces and nephews and many special friends. People were drawn to her because of her sweet ways and generous spirit. Service will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City with Rev. John Pinkston and Rev. George Waters officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm prior to the service. Martha supported many charities, and we know she would be overjoyed by contributions made in her honor to Susan G. Komen, or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital (contribution acknowledgement address 1077 Bales Road, New Market, TN 37820).
