Martha Louise Hall

MARTHA LOUISE TUGGLE HALL, age 90 of White Pine, Tennessee passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 5, 2022. She was born in Capleville, Shelby County, Tennessee on June 1, 1932 and was the only child of Foster and Martha Tuggle. She is preceded in death by her parents Foster and Martha (Duke) Tuggle and the love of her life Charles Hall. Martha is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Frazee (Dave), Susan Tall, Pamela Birkholz (Jim), four grandchildren; Phillip Birkholz (Rebecca), Claire Birkholz McMichael (John), Katherine and Ryan Tall; one great grandchild Embry Birkholz. Even though she was an only child her cousins were her siblings and her lifelong family tribe - Betty Dickert (Jim), MaryAnn Boysen (Joe) and Preston Duke (Emily).  Martha was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in Business Administration in 1954. She moved to Kingsport after college working at Kingsport Glass where she met Charles. Martha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to so many who crossed her path. She served in many Presbyterian leadership roles in each community she lived her entire life, finally serving as Treasurer for Hopewell Presbyterian Church for 20 years. She loved her garden, flowers, and Lady Vols Basketball; however, her passion was people. We celebrated her 90^th birthday with family and friends from the community in early June. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2022, 2:00pm at Hopewell Presbyterian Church, Dandridge, Tennessee with the interment to follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:00 to 2:00pm prior to the services at the church.  Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Hopewell Presbyterian Church, P.O.
