Marjorie McDonald Porter, Kodak, Tennessee, went home to meet her Lord on January 1, 2020.
Marge was born on November 10th, 1930, in Covington, Tennessee. She married the love of her life, Stanley, on November 6th, 1951. Marge and Stanley enjoyed 68 years of marriage and devotion to one another, and to their Lord, has been an example and an encouragement to countless people. Her life bore witness to her Christian faith, and
Marge was an example of kindness, hospitality, and joy to all who knew her.
Marge was preceded in death by her mother Florence MacDonald Rudy, her father Hal McDonald, her stepfather, Jack Rudy, and her beloved mother-in-law and father-in-law, Clowel McDougal Porter and Stanley Porter, Sr.
She is survived by her loving husband, Stanley Brenson Porter, daughter Lisa Porter Bryant and husband Dale, son Mark Porter and wife Kelly, grandchildren, Jessica Porter Bryant Walker (Joshua), Charles Porter Bryant (Amy), Hunter Neal Porter (Stephanie), and Nathan Stanley Porter, great-grandchildren, Nicholas Porter, Isadora Monet, Josephine Rose, Caleb Joseph, and Hudson Henry.
The family wishes to thank the numerous family members, friends, and caregivers who have lovingly watched over Marge for the past year-and-a-half. A special thank you to the entire staff of Jefferson Park at Dandridge for their exceptional care.
Visitation and services will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 118 Colossians Court, Jefferson City Tennessee. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 4, 2020, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m., Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 2642 Hwy 25, Dandridge, Tennessee.
