Marion Leoda Dirl Bryant

Mrs. Marion Leoda Dirl Bryant departed this earth on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Physicians Regional Hospital in Knoxville, following a brief illness. She was born to Beb Lee and Marion Stella Dirl on August 23, 1939. Leoda was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E Bryant I, son, Robert E. Bryant, II, parents and siblings, brother, Albert Glenn Dirl and sister, Linda Ann Dirl Mills. Leoda, whose nickname was Leedy, graduated from Nelson Merry High School. Following graduation, she moved to Erie, Pennsylvania. Leedy worked at the JFK Center in Erie for many years. She returned to Jefferson City and was employed by Walmart for over 15 years. Leedy was a faithful member of Martha Davis Baptist Church and the Senior Choir where she held the office of treasurer. She was also vice president of the Courtesy Club for many years. Leedy loved to travel and read. She leaves to cherish her memories, daughter in-law, Michelle Johnson Bryant of Jefferson City; granddaughters, Jasmine of Nashville, Imani, and Naja Bryant of Jefferson City, and grandson, Robert Bryant, III, of Jefferson City; nieces, Martina Blevins of Rogersville and Letitia Mills of Jefferson City; great niece, Asia Avery; great nephews, Jordan Avery and Jackson Long. She also leaves a host of cousins, friends, and her Martha Davis Church Family. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 12, 2017, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held following the service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City.
