Marie Bernatova

Marie Bernatova, of New Market TN, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2016 at the age of 89 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Czech Republic where she grew up and lived for majority of her life until rest of the immediate family passed away. She then joined her son and his family here in US in 1995. She was the most caring person one could ever meet and will be greatly missed. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, baking, and laughs with family and friends; but most of all she enjoyed spoiling her great-grandkids. She is survived by her son, Josef Bernat and his wife Anna; grandchildren Josef Bernat Jr and Iveta and her husband, Richard Estrella; and great-grandchildren Michael and Nicholas Estrella. The family wishes to thank Amedisys Hospice of Morristown for their kindness and support during the toughest time of her illness. Family will celebrate her life at Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge TN, where friends are welcome to join on February 24, 2016 from 6-7PM. As per Marie’s wishes, her cremated remains will be buried next to her husband in a family plot in Zbysov, Czech Republic at later date.
