She was a dedicated member of the Beth Carr United Methodist Church, where she faithfully served as president of the United Methodist Women for over 30 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed cooking and working in her yard and flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Minnie May; brothers, James (Jabo) May and Albert May. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, George Martin, Jr., children, Ronnie and Linda Martin of White Pine, Ann and Mike Jones of Oliver Springs; grandchildren, Robbie Martin of Talbott , Rusty Martin of White Pine, Corey and Anthony Jones of Oliver Springs; great-grandchildren, Trent Martin, Layney Bible and Ramsey Martin; sisters, Bernice May of Jefferson City and Alta Ruth (Charles) Whitaker of Jefferson City; brother, Roy May of Jefferson City. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Beth Carr United Methodist Church with Reverend Darrell Chambers, Reverend Fred Lehrer and Corey Jones (grandson) officiating. Interment will follow in Jarnigan Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine.
