Margaret "Marti" Denton Elder

Marti Denton Elder, age 81 of Dandridge, TN passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Turkey Creek Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was an active and faithful member of the French Broad Community Church and was a retired secretary of Kinkos and Pilot Oil Company.  Marti was a loving and caring person who loved her family and friends dearly.  She enjoyed working in her church and helping others.  She was loved and admired by all that knew her and will be greatly missed. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Mae Franklin Denton; sisters, Mary Jo James, Betty Stipes and Wanda Sue Denton; brothers and sister in-law, Billy (Joyce) Denton and Phil Denton.

Marti is survived by her husband of 44 years, Larry Elder; brothers in-law, David Elder and Bill Stipes, nieces, Diane (Jack) Quisenberry and Haley Elder; nephews, Michael (Stacy) Stipes, David (Sharon) Denton, Clint Elder, Luke (Kalynn) Quisenberry, Dustin (Robin) Mantooth, Hunter (Abigail) Hughes and Richard Campbell; great-great nephews, Mitchell Mantooth and Oliver Hughes.

Graveside Service will be Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 2:00pm at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Justin Breeden officiating.  Visitation will be at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Dandridge Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00pm.
