MAMIE ARIZONA DOCKERY HANCE, age 95, of Dandridge, TN went home to be with the Lord Thursday afternoon, February 19, 2015 at the Rogers Cottage of the Jefferson County Nursing Home. Arizona was a Christian lady and a faithful prayer warrior. She attended the Hills Union United Methodist Church and was a member of the New Beginning Church of God. Arizona enjoyed singing joyous gospel music and playing a variety of musical instruments. She will be fondly remembered for her working along beside her late husband, June Hance, where they owned and operated the June Hance Grocery from 1954 to 1984. She was preceded in death by husband, June Hance; parents, Brownlow and Minnie Dockery; brother, Ponder Dockery; sisters, Tina Hill, Almo Caughorn, Melvina Dockery and Emma Chesteen. She is survived by her son, Gary (Irene) Hance; daughter, Peggy (Dennis) Miles; grandchildren, Robin Quarles (Taylor), Towdy Tipton (Mike), Chris Miles (Theresa), Jeremiah Miles; great-grandchildren, Katilyn, Madilene and Paul Tipton, Payton and Logan Miles, Mary Rene Quarles. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff and nurses at the Rogers Cottage of the Jefferson Co. Nursing Home for their excellent care of their beloved Arizona Hance. A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 22, 2015, 2:00pm at the Hills Union United Methodist Church where the body will lie in state one hour before services. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon, 4:00 to 6:00pm at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE
