Mallie Ray

MALLIE RAY, age 70, of Dandridge, TN passed away Saturday morning, February 21, 2009 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. She was born August 10, 1938 in Fairfax, VA, the daughter of the late Calvin and Amanda Rollins. A beloved mother, grandmother and sister, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray, Jr.; brothers, Issac and Hubert Rollins; sister, Betty McKinney. She is survived by her children, Barbara (Morris) Shelton, Charles Junior Ray, Frances (Larry) Parton, Shelia (Billy) Swanger and Nancy (Ronnie) Osburn; brothers, Robert and George Rollins; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Rebruary 24, 2009 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Jack Swanger and Rev. Rodd Golden officiating. Interment graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service.
