Maggie Bernice Briggs Rimmer

MAGGIE BERNICE BRIGGS RIMMER, age 51 of Dandridge, TN passed away Thursday, December 4, 2003 at her home after a lingering illness. She was a member of Swann's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and was serving as president of Ladies Recreational Bowling League of Newport. She retired from a banking career with Union Planters Bank and was a past Matron of Martha Dandridge Chapter No. 438 OES. She is preceded in death by infant son, Jeffery Lynn Rimmer and parents, Hubert and Mary Briggs of Dandridge. She is survived by husband, Rev. Dennis G. Rimmer; daughter and son in law, Jennifer and David Parks; son, James "Andrew" Rimmer; daughter, Janna Rimmer; granddaughter, Abigail Parks; sisters and brothers in law, Peggy and Mike Bettis, Betty and Butch Carmichael; brother, Eddie Briggs; mother in law, Mary Rimmer, all of Dandridge; and by numerous extended family members. Funeral services will be Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Swanns Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Foster and Rev. Bobby Kitts officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service. OES Memorial Service and Interment will be directly following the funeral at Swanns Chapel Cemetery.
