Box 1025 Dandridge, TN 37725 Phone (865) 397-2711 Fax (865) 397-9289 OBITUARY: MADELINE MASSEY MITCHELL, age 87, of Peachtree City, GA passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the Southland Health and Rehabilitation Center in Peachtree, GA. She was born and raised in Greene County, TN and lived for many years in Johnson City, TN before she and her husband, Guy, retired to Dandridge, TN to enjoy retirement and fishing on Douglas Lake. While living in Dandridge, Madeline was a member of the French Broad Baptist Church and the Dandridge Senior Citizens, where she enjoyed playing canasta and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Mitchell, Jr.; daughters, Kaytella Mitchell Fuqua and Janice Mitchell; brothers, Billy Massey and Lee Anderson Massey; sister, Mildred Brown. She is survived by daughter, Netia (Ellis) Mayton of Lacy's Spring, AL; sons, Anthony D.(Patricia) Mitchell of Peachtree City, GA and Jerry (Judy) Mitchell of Lansing, IL; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; brothers, Bobby (Ann) Massey of Jefferson City, TN and Claude (Mary) Massey of Rantoul, IL; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2007 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. James Kinser officiating. Interment graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2007 at French Broad Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
