LYDIA ELIZABETH HILL, age 90, of Knoxville, TN passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2011. She was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church for 56 years. Born in Dandridge, TN, she was a graduate of White Pine High School. She attended Knoxville Business College and worked as a bookkeeper and credit manager for Vasey Furniture and retired from Moser Furniture Company after 25 years of service. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Malinda Moore Hill of White Pine, TN; and brothers, Joe, George and T. M. Hill; sisters, Lois M. Hill and Virgie Hill Bacon. Surviving are sister-in-law, Hedwig Hill of Stuttgart, Germany; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Aileen Hill of Knoxville; nephews, George, Dr. Stephan, Philip, Dr. Joe, John R. Hill, Sr., and James B. Hill; nieces, Betty Hill Hice and Linda Hill Pittman. The family is thankful for the tender and loving care provided by the Holston Health and Rehabilitation Center caretakers. Family and friends will meet at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Shady Grove Cemetery in Dandridge for a 2:00 p.m. graveside funeral service with Rev. Sean White officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastminster Church, 4908 Asheville Highway, Knoxville, TN 37914. Friends may call at their convenience Saturday afternoon and Sunday at the funeral home until time of service.
