LULA MAE WOODS POTTS, age 86, of Dandridge, TN passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at her home following an extended illness. She was a member of the Swannsylvania Baptist Church, where she was a charter member of the Food Pantry and served as the “Bible Lady.” She was also a member of the WMU and church choir. She was an outstanding citizen in her community, a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Preceded in death by husband of 49 years, Alfred Potts; parents, Robert Mack “Bob” Woods and Josie Ann (Shrader) Woods; brothers, Wayne Woods and Canada Woods; foster brother, Byrd Ivey; sisters, Ina Bayless and Carrie (Toad) Woods
Survived by her daughters, Judy (Herb) Dunn, Brenda (Dennis) Crooke, Penny (Rusty) James, Nancy (Mark) Harmon and Tammy (Jody) Taylor; son, Bud Potts; grandchildren, Chad Dunn, Leah Dunn, Felisha Crooke, Kevin Potts, Ben and Luke James, Tyler and Tyson Keister, Courtlyn and Ryleigh Anne Taylor; 10 great-grandchildren; special friend, Louise Taylor; several nieces and nephews. The family extends a special thank you to Smoky Mountain Health and Hospice for their special care. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 3, 2016, 4:00pm at the Swannsylvania Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Hensley and Rev. Charles Mills officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00pm prior to services at the church.
