She was a member of Flat Gap Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Frank Brown; parents, Charlie and Nellie Ellison; four brothers and four sisters. Survived by daughter, Nora Foster of New Market; daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie and Ezra Dale of Jefferson City, son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Carolyn Brown of Mebane, North Carolina; grandchildren, Donna Malone, Rebecca Lewis, John Foster, Linda Scarlett, Kim Parrott, Raymond Beeler, Dana Brown and Michelle York; ninegreat grandchildren; three step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; two step great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mable Ellison of Asheville, NC, Gladys Rader of Knoxville, TN, Mary Jane Brown of Louisville, KY, Ruth Brown of Morristown, TN, and Mary Brown of Jefferson City; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2005 at the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Martin Roach and Youth Evangelist Matthew Malone officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2005 at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Mountain View Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. prior to the funeral service.
