Lucille Walker Corbett

LUCILLE WALKER CORBETT, age 88, of the Piedmont Community in Dandridge, TN passed away Thursday, November 1, 2007 following a brief illness. She was born November 4, 1918, the daughter of the late Sharp G. and Selma Killion Walker, Sr.She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank H. Corbett; son, John T. Corbett; son-in-law, Charles R. Thomas; brothers, Alfred and Marvin Walker. She was a member of the Oakland United Methodist Chruch and was retired from Magnavox. She is survived by her daughter, Janie Thomas of Jefferson City; special daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Joe Webster of Strawberry Plains; grandson, John and Lindi Thomas of Dandridge and great grandson, Landon; granddaughter Joanna and Greg Tamoas of Morristown and great granddaughter, Victoria; sisters, Maxine Garrett, Doris (Charles) Briggs, Effie Cox, Mary Nell Widener and Louise Lawson; brothers, Fred W. (Buford) Walker and S. G. (Rosie) Walker, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Lucy franklin and Dorothy (Howard) Miller; brother-in-law, Roy May. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Oakland United Methodist Church, 858 Navajo Drive,Jefferson City, TN 37760. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2007 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Rev.John Clark and Rev. Fred Walker officiating. Interment graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
