Loyce Louise Tucker Garrison

LOYCE LOUISE TUCKER GARRISON, age 77, of New Market, TN passed away at home on August 13, 2015. Loyce was born on September 30, 1937 in Charlotte, NC to Arey Ray and Helen Bailey Tucker. She graduated from East Mecklenburg High School in 1955 and married Paul K. Garrison on August 5, 1956. Paul’s career took the family many places, with extended stays in Darlington, SC, Leo/Cedarville, IN, and Kalida, OH. They retired in 2004 to Sandy Run, SC. Loyce was preceded in death by her husband, Paul in 2007; brother, Alfred “Buck” Tucker; and sister, Ruth Tucker Garrison. She is survived by her sons, Eric P. Garrison (Melissa) of Swansea, SC, Timothy M. Garrison (Angie) of New Market, TN, and Peter S. Garrison (Cindy) of Arlington, TN; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Jane Tadlock of Waco, TX, Essie Johnston of Thompson, GA, and Sarah Alexander of Union Grove, NC; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church, 1600 W. Mallard Creek Church Road, Charlotte, NC.
