Lowell Thomas Bryant, age 75, of Dandridge, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. Lowell was born March 21, 1940 in Nickelsville, Virginia to Jake and Leota Bryant. He was the fourth of five children. He graduated from Holston High School in 1958 and then attended East Tennessee State University. Lowell was very active in the National Outboard Association where he was the National High Point Champion and set several world records in boat racing. He was also an accomplished BASS fisherman who won many accolades in his time. Lowell worked at Bullet Boats for 20 years and retired in 2005. In his retirement he was an active member of the Dandridge Golf and Country Club where he played daily and enjoyed time with his friends and family. Lowell also loved fishing with his son and treasured all the times he spent with his two granddaughters. Lowell is survived by his three sons, Tommy Bryant and his wife Marcie of Knoxville, TN, Todd Bryant of Knoxville, TN, and Shane Bryant of Johnson City, TN; two granddaughters, Lauren and Molly Bryant of Knoxville, TN; special friend, Evelyn Strange of Kodak, TN; sister Pauline Wichert of Cocoa Beach, FL; brother James Bryant of Blountville, TN; sister, Shirley Meade of Lebanon, VA; stepson, Brock Golden of Knoxville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Leota Bryant; brother, Jack Bryant; son, Robert Stuart Bryant; and stepson, Brennan Golden. A special thanks to Johnny Hilton.
