Louise Denton Ailey

Louise Denton Ailey, age 94, of Jefferson City, TN passed away 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 at Life Care Center of Jefferson City following a lingering illness. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, J.V. Ailey; parents, Mel and Frances Denton; sisters, Eleanor Phillips and Swannie Myers; brothers, Jim, Jack, Shields and Bill Denton; son-in-law, Don Shockley. Survived by daughters, Barbara Shockley of Jefferson City, Mary Frances (Gerald) Barbee of Jefferson City and Eloise (Frank) Breeden of Chattanooga; 5 grandchildren, Jim (Kaye) Breeden, Teresa (Kevin) Mullins, Katrina (Tim) Wright, Donna (Chip) Mallett and Deana (Trey) Daniels; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Roger Denton of Jefferson City; sisters, Jean Holbert of Jefferson City and Jane Watts of Morristown; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City with Dr. Sonny Strange and Reverend DeWayne Whittington officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Farrar Funeral Home for a procession to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
