Louis George Gerber

LOUIS GEORGE GERBER, age 94, of New Market, TN passed away at home on August 22, 2012. He was born in West Orange, NJ and retired to Tennessee in 1983. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jefferson City and previously St. Patrick Church in Morristown. He enlisted in the Army Air Force in July, 1941 and served 32 months with the 808th Engr Bn in Australia and New Guinea. Preceded in death by wife of 46 years, Beatrice Pearl Gerber and grandson, Harry Louis Hossler. Survived by daughter, Maryann and son-in-law, Harry R. Hossler of Knoxville; son, Gerard Gerber of NJ; grandsons, David and Christopher Hossler; and great-grandson, Jacob Brewer. Visitation will be Thursday, August 30, 20122 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Father Dan Whitman officiating.
