LORENE FRANKLIN McSPADDEN, age 87 of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Dandridge, TN and Athens, TN passed away Friday, July 2, 2004 at the Hillcrest West Nursing Center following an extended illness. She was a member of the Keith Memorial United Methodist Church of Athens and was a graduate of Maury High School in Dandridge, where she was the class valedictorian. Preceded in death by husband, Milton F. McSpadden, Sr; brothers, Elmer Franklin and Robert Franklin; sister, Violet Cannon. Survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Gary Parker of Knoxville, Anna Mae and Bob Barker of Etowah; son and daughter-in-law, Milton and Jane McSpadden, Jr. of Knoxville; eight grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Cline and Gladys (Jack) Hutsell of Jefferson City. Funeral services 2 p.m. Monday, July 5, 2004 at Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Danny Matthews officiating. Interment to follow in Shady Grove Cemetery.
