Lorene Acuff Whittaker

LORENE ACUFF WHITTAKER, age 83, of Strawberry Plains, TN passed away at 4:45 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2006 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Albert Whittaker, Jr.; parents, Lillie and Raymond Acuff; grandson, Paul Whittaker; brothers, Loy and Bill Acuff. Survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Jewell and Bruce Frazier of New Market, Judy and Bob Shaw of Jefferson City, Joyce and Jim Cassady of Strawberry Plains; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Betty Whittaker; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Ann Acuff of Jefferson City; sister-in-law, Jean Acuff of Jefferson City. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2006 at the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Dr. Sonny Strange and Rev. Randy Troutman officiating. Family and friends will gather at 1:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2006 at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Mill Springs Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m.graveside interment service.
