Lorene Schrader White

Lorene Schrader White,age 87, a native and lifelong resident of Dandridge, Tennessee, died October 22, 2002. She was a school teacher, having retired from the Knoxville City School System in 1975 after having taught at South Elementary School, Sevier Avenue , for 25 years. Prior to teaching in Knoxville, she taught in the Jefferson County School System. She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee in 1936. She was the daughter of the late Henry Caswell and Grace Cox Schrader and was preceded in death by her brother, Verne T. Schrader. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, C. Taft White of Dandridge; son and daughter-in-law, Charles S. and Sandra R. White; grandson, Marlin K. White; nephew, Phillip H. Schrader; and niece, Tammy L. Akers, all of Knoxville. Services for Mrs. White will be at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2002 from the Mt. Zion United Methodist church in Dandridge, where she was a member. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday from 3:30 until 4:30p.m., followed by the funeral service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Reverends Wendell Shepherd, Mike Feely, and John Thompson will conduct the services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Mt.
