Lonnie Wayne Potter

Lonnie Wayne Potter, of Newport, TN, passed from this life on March 23, 2003, being forty-nine years, three months, and sixteen days. Mr. Potter was born in Fleming, KY on December 7, 1953. Mr Potter loved Douglas Lake. He, his wife, daughter and parents vacationed and spent every weekend possible here prior to their official move from Kentucky in 1998. Mr. Potter was employed by GW Wyatt Contracting in Jefferson City as a heavy equipment operator. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Sapp Potter, daughter, McKinley paige Potter, both of Newport; son, Justin Potter of Murfreesboro; daughter, Loni Potter of Elkhard, Indiana; father and mother, Can and Bessie Potter of Dandridge; sisters and brothers in law, Brenda and Joe Holmes of White Pine and Wilma and Roger Hagg of Coeburn, Va; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. thursday, March 27, 2003 from the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Dandridge with Pastor Jimmy Norris officiating. Interment will follow in the Dandridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
