Lois Engerer Reighard

LOIS ENGERER REIGHARD, age 80, passed away on December 6, 2008 at 9:27 a.m. at Morristown Hamblen Hospital. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a faithful member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Morristown since moving to the White Pine area in 1987. Lois was born in Buffalo, NY and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. After marriage, the family moved to Columbus, OH in 1954. She was a founding member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She was an Executive Secretary for World Book, Intl for 17 years. Then, retiring to White Pine, TN, she became a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Shw also served as a Support Team member for Food Donation Connection for 13 years. She was an active church member, serving as church secretary, as well as secretary and treasurer of the LWML. She loved living on Douglas Lake. Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Sam Reighard; brother, Ed Engerer and wife, Carol of Harrisburg, PA; sister, Elaine Benedict and husband, Jim of Cincinnati, OH; brother, Don Engerer of Greenfield, IN; four children, Bill Reighard and wife, Sue of Knoxville, Tn, Richard Reighard and wife, Sheila of Blacksburg, VA, Bruce Reighard and wife, Shirley of Alpharetta, GA, and Cheryl Poff and husband, Mike of Knoxville, Tn; eleven grandchildren, Lindsey Brick, Taylor Reighard and wife, Angela, Lindsey Strickland and husband, Daniel, Julia Reighard, Tara Reighard, Melissa Reighard, Michael Rieghard, Chris Reighard, Jeremy Poff, Elizabeth Poff, Bethany Poff; and three great-grandchildren, Hayden Reighard, Kane Reighard and Adelyn Strickland. Visitation will be at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine on Monday, December 8, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Morristown with Reverend John Freitag offaiciating.
