Linda Sue Gass Foster

LINDA SUE GASS FOSTER, age 69, born October 8, 1947, passed away September 12, 2017 at home after a long battle with cancer. She was a member of Russellville Baptist Church and was retired from Health Star Physicians lab after 20 years. Linda enjoyed bird watching from her porch and photographing flowers. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her friends, family and being a huge part of her grandchildren’s lives. Preceded in death by parents, Howard (Cotton) and Margaret Gass of Jefferson City; infant sister, Patricia; brother-in-law, Robert Alan Foster. She is survived by her husband, James W. (J.W.) Foster, with whom she had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary of June 29, 2017; daughters, Sharee Long, Shannon Hefner; grandchildren, Connor and Jansen Long, and Macey Hefner; siblings, Brenda Collins (Donnie) of Jefferson City, Teresa Tipton (Michael) of Jefferson City, and Steve Gass (Cherry) of Dandridge; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2017 at Farrar Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Nelson and Rev. Bobby Shaffer officiating.
