Linda Watkins Phillips

LINDA WATKINS PHILLIPS, age 64, of Jefferson City, TN passed away at her home on March 5, 2017. She was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County, residing in Jefferson City and New Market. She was a successful business woman owning several businesses with her husband, Johnny, in Jefferson and Scott Counties over the years. She has received numerous sales awards and has served on many local and regional committees. She was a real estate broker for many years and the current owner of Re/Max Between The Lakes in Dandridge and Jefferson City. She was very creative and talented with a love for the arts. She was also a member of New Market Baptist Church. Linda’s greatest love in life was her family. She and Johnny were married for 43 years. She was a loving, caring and compassionate mother. Her daughters and grandchildren have always been the loves of her life. She was a kind soul and friend to everyone. Preceded in death by her parents, William (Bill) Watkins and Juanita Bolin Watkins; sister, Brenda Watkins. She is survived by husband of 43 years, Johnny Phillips; daughters, Leslie (Stephen) Strader and Lacy Phillips; grandchildren, Macy Strader and Britt Strader. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, March 7, 2017 at Farrar Funeral Home. At Linda’s request there will be no funeral service. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service, followed by a balloon release. Pall bearers will be Britt Strader, Stephen Strader, Blake Shaffer, Andy Wiggins, Luke Wiggins, John Wiggins and Kenny Seal. Honorary pallbearers will be realtors of Re/Max Between The Lakes.
