Leta M. "Peggy" Thomas

LETA M. "PEGGY" THOMAS, age 94, of Knoxville, TN passed away Saturday morning, June 13, 2009 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice. She was born October 28, 1914 in Dandridge, TN, the daughter of the late William Kelse Harrell and Nancy Ellen Campbell Harrell. She was a member of the Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Edward Thomas who died June 18, 1990. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Gail (John) Denton of Hilton Head Island, SC; sons, Harrell Edward (Jama) Thomas of Knoxville and Larry Keith Thomas of Florida; grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Thomas and Brent Edward Thomas. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial gifts be made to the charity of your choice of St. Mary's Residential Hospice, 7447 Andersonville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37938. Graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Hillcrest Cemetery in Dandridge, TN with Rev. David Collins of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church officiating. There will be no formal family visitation, but friends may call at their convenience on Sunday afternoon at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandirdge.
