Leroy "Roy" Hart

Leroy "Roy" Hart, age 83 of Hart Rd., Dandridge, TN passed away Friday afternoon, January 3, 2003 at the Life Care Center of Jefferson City following an extended illness. He was a life long member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Dandridge , where he served as deacon and elder. He was a 50 year member of Brazelton Lodge #190 F & AM and the Martha Dandridge Chapter # 432 Order of the Eastern Star and was a retired skilled carpenter and craftsman. Preceded in death by infant son, Joseph Bryan Hart; parents, Hobart Hart, Sr. and Mae Hinkle Hart. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Maye Wilson Hart; daughter, Carolyn Hart of Morristown, TN; son and daughter in law, Dwight and Linda Lakin Hart of Halls, TN; brothers, james, Wayne and Hobart "Babe" Hart, Jr., all of Dandridge; brother in law, Cecil Wilson of New Market; 5 grandchildren; Stephen Swann of Opelika, AL, Bill and Jerilyn Swann of Maryville, TN, Richard and Gina (Hindman) Hart of Halls, TN, Kimberly (Hart) and Jeff Shoaf of Powell,TN, and Christy and Chad Thompson of Lebanon, TN; 5 great grandchildren, Lucas, Eli and Cryson Hart; Will Shoaf and Josie Swann. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2003 from the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Dandridge with Rev. Bill Middleton officiating. Interment and masonic graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Jan 6, 2003 at Hopewell cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday prior to the services.
