Lena Jeanette Marshall Britt

Lena Jeanette Marshall Britt, age 69 of Dandridge, passed away at her home on the morning of Wednesday, December 18, 2024.

Lena loved the Lord; and saw His handiwork in the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee, where she vacationed often before relocating here from North Carolina over a decade ago. Lena also loved her family with all her heart, especially her grandkids. Her hobbies included flowers and collecting antiques. She also enjoyed watching classic western movies. Lena always preferred John Wayne to Clint Eastwood; and – although her red truck was named “Miss Kitty” - she favored Bonanza over Gunsmoke, too.

Lena was preceded in death by her parents, Aiken & Eva Inman Marshall; sisters, Betty Batten & Violet Mullis; and brothers, John Marshall & Butch Marshall.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory; her beloved husband of 38 years, Jimmy Britt; sisters, Kathey Storie, Gail Mullis, Merry Miller, & Pam Helms; brothers, Pete Marshall, Buddy Marshall, and Dale Marshall; daughters, Kay Fillers & Dawn Crane, son, James Fillers; grandchildren, Summer (Dillon) McCoy, Colton (Hanna Young) Atkinson, and Cassidy Atkinson; great-grandchildren, Colt Atkinson, Charlie Atkinson, & Kyler Atkinson; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In accordance with her wishes, Lena was cremated with no official services planned. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Farrar Funeral Home of Dandridge.
